Today is my first day back at work after a 2 week break, and I'm writing this earlier in the morning than I have for a while, so hopefully I'm awake enough for the text to make sense... ;-).
This is also my first Boy London post of the year, and I'm still trying to work out the details of the brand. The Boy London name started in the 70s with a store in Kings Road, London. It was a shop selling Boy London clothes and accessories focused on the club and punk scenes. The brand was started by Stephanie Raynor and ran through into the 80s before taking a break and returning in the late 2000s. The Boy London watches have been running all the way through this time, with a lot of them showing dates in the 90s (while the brand was taking a break). I'm still researching the reason for this discrepancy, but it seems that the modern watches are produced under license by a Korean company, so they may have had this licence since the 90s, or the dates don't reflect the true year of release.
This model is another of the BOY-31-W designs which I've nicknamed Beer. The Boy-31-W watches seem to be the most common model and are a 3 hand dial quartz watch with the name Boy London in one corner of the bezel. The difference between the watches in this range are the face designs, and this one is made to look like a beer bottle label with the word Beer across the middle, and LonDon in smaller letters just below. It also has the Boy London logo at the 12 o'clock position, stars at the 3 and 9 positions, and a Union Jack at the 6 o'clock (with the other hour markers having numbers).
The strap is the usual 2 colour leather design with studs and the Boy London logo and name imprinted in the red leather, as well as a BOY buckle.
In my opinion a bit to frisky overall, I like the citizen you posted much more...
