Thunderbird 4 Watch

Today is the third (and currently final) of the Thunderbirds watches I started posting about a year ago.

It is part of a range of Thunderbirds watches released by Jasrac and/or the Shinsha Organization in around 1998. The Thunderbirds series followed the exploits of the International Rescue organization and was a puppet series commissioned by ITC (Independent Television Corporation - who own the copyright on the watch) in 1965. The licence for the watch is to Polygram Licensing International.

This model is of the Thunderbird 4 vehicle which was a small submarine. Thunderbird 4 is normally transported in one of Thunderbird 2's pods, and is the smallest Thunderbirds vehicle with it's own number.

The watch is shown by lifting the model craft revealing the LCD display. It uses a standard 4 digits and shows the usual time, date, and seconds.

Thunderbird 2 Watch

Today I'm covering a watch that is part of a series I began covering last October.

The watch is another of the Thunderbirds watches by Jasrac and/or Shinsha Organization. It features one of the International Rescue organisation's spaceships/aircraft, and is designated Thunderbird 2. Thunderbirds was a puppet series that started in 1965 and followed the International Rescue's missions to help those in danger. The Thunderbird 2 was the largest vehicle and was used as a transport vehicle (including moving Thunderbird 4).

The watch part is a basic LCD which is revealed as the vehicle is lifted. It shows 4 digits and has time, date, and seconds. It was released in 1998, and is not linked to any particular movie or series release.

It has a copyright from ITC which is the Incorporated Television Corporation. They were the company that commissioned the show, and the watch is also licenced to Polygram Licensing International.

Thunderbirds Tracy Island musical watch

In my collection I have many watches shaped as characters, spaceships, or robots, but this is the first watch I have that is shaped like an island!!
The watch in question is a Tracy Island watch from Thunderbirds. Thunderbirds is a sci-fi puppet series that started in 1965, and followed the adventures of the secretive International Rescue organisation. The organisation is based in the hidden Tracy Island, and use advanced machines and equipment to help those in great danger.
In the series, the swimming pool opened up to reveal one of the vehicles, and the mountain side opened to reveal another. In the watch, the middle of the Island opens up to reveal the LCD display.
The first thing you notice when the Island opens up is the noise. Opening the lower half starts the music which is theme tune to the TV series.
The watch part itself is a basic LCD with two buttons on the front. It has time, date, and seconds displays.
It was released in 1998, but strangely this doesn't correspond with any particular date for series or movies.
The watch copyright is held by ITC which is the Incorporated Television Corporation who commissioned the show, and is licenced by Polygram Licencing International. It appears to have been made by Jasrac and/or Shinsha Organization.
