Swatch Skin - Rouge De Toi

Today's watch is a rather thin one, and so light you hardly notice you are wearing it!

This is the second (possibly 3rd) Swatch watch I've posted from the Swatch Skin collection. The Skin watches first came out in 1997 and are designed to only be 3.9mm thick. The range has even been a Guinness World Record holder for the thinnest plastic watch. To fit the glass and face within that depth, the movement inside is very wide but flat, and uses an incredibly tiny battery (a 317).

This model is called the Rouge De Toi, and was part of the Fall/Winter 2004 collection (having been designed in 2003). The name translates to "Red From You" assuming the online translation is completely correct. It is a 2 hand dial model with a silver face, red trim, and white numbers. It comes with a thin red leather strap to complete the look.

The model number for this model is SFK206.

Swatch Skin Metal - blue & white

I've done a lot of searching about today's watch, but without luck. The Swatch website has a Swatch Finder option, and I've been through every single page of Swatch Skin and not been able to find it...

The watch has a thin case like the Swatch Skin, but with a metal case. The strap is a mixture of black rubber and metal links. The time is shown on a 2 hand dial with a white centre and blue rung where the numbers are shown.

There are a few strange things about the watch that make me wonder about it's legitimacy. The back has no numbers or details, and just says stainless steel back, and Swatch Swiss (with no copyright, TM or other note). The front of the dial states the copyright us Swiss AG 2002 where normally it would be copyright Swatch AG.

Swatch Skin - Noir De Chine SFB107

It almost doesn't feel like I'm wearing a watch today. This one is so thin and light, you hardly notice it.

It is one of the Skin watches by Swiss watch manufacturer Swatch. The Skin watches are the thinnest and lightest watches that Swatch make, and are only 3.9mm thick. It almost looks too thin to have a movement inside, and they take the smallest battery I've had to use for my collection so far - a 317 at 5.8mm x 1.6mm. The range was started in 1997, and this watch is from the Spring Summer 2000 collection (but is copyright 1999).

This version has the product code SFB107, and is called Noir De Chine which is French for Black China. It has a black case with white hands and markings, and uses a 2 hand dial (-i guess there is no room for a seconds hand in a watch this thin). The watch is 3 bar water resistant, and has a black leather strap.
