This watch is the second I own of a brand I first covered in May last year.
The brand is called Urban Image and mage a range of simple, low cost quartz watches. The watch brand seems to have started around 2011 and has the intent to use urban design in the watches.
The Urban Image brand is owned by a company called Emit Co Ltd (which is sometimes shown as Emitt Ltd), and they are more known on this blog for their other brand, Planet Design. Emit Co Ltd is a small Tokyo based company (with about 10 employees), founded in 2004 for the planning and creation of fashion watches.
This model is the SA208 is a quartz analogue watch with a 3 hand dial. It has a very simple and clean design with large easy to read numbers at 3,6,9, and 12, and glow in the dark hands. The case seems well built, and the curve of the bezel gives it a nice feel. The Urban Image name is printed on the face and the back, and the back also shows it is assembled in China with a Japanese movement.
The watch doesn't seem to be available from Emit anymore (with hardly any Urban Image watches showing on their site, so it may just be a website error), but I've seen the design on the typical Japanese sales sites. The rrp seems to be around ¥3150.
