Casio ME-100 Tomato and United Future Organization limited edition

This weekend I'm at a Tomato festival, so I wanted to wear something Tomato themed.

This watch is a Casio ME-100 made for the United Future Organization and features Tomatoes in the design (for reasons I will expand on later).

The United Future Organization formed 1990 production team collaborating with DJs in Japan jazz Latin hip-hop electronica. For one of their works, they worked with a collective of artists, designers, musicians, and writers, called Tomato who work on cross-platform multimedia projects and were founded in 1999. This watch is United Future Organization limited edition from Casio, and was done in collaboration with Simon Taylor from Tomato hence the Tomato link!

The watch is a ME-100 data memory 30 watch. It has dot matrix LCD, in an oval faced case which is offset from the band. Being a data memory watch, one of the modes is a data bank (with 30 slots). Other modes are alarm, stopwatch, and world time.

The tomato theme also follows in the design, with 3 red circles (tomatoes) being visible when the el-backlight is used. The back also states Tomato, and United Future Organization, and has 3 circles engraved too. The last bit of special engraving is on the straps (part number S-695L) clasp, which shows the United Future Organization name, and possibly their logo.
