Seiko Chronograph MX - SATC001

I'm wearing a higher class model of watch today with a chronograph from Seiko.

This watch is a Seiko Chronograph MX watch which is a quartz powered chronograph model. The MX refers to a series of watches from Seiko which appears to be for high end chronograph models, mainly (all? ) in Titanium and Stainless Steel.

This model is one of a few Seiko chronographs using a 7T62 quartz module. Having looked around online, I think this is the SATC001, and has a full model number of 7T62-0A40. Other sources also suggest that this model is part of a series called MX2000, and that the MX series KO longer exists.

The watch is a 3 hand dial design with 3 smaller dials at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, and a date window at the 3 o'clock. The hour and minutes hands are on the main dial, with the seconds on the left hand small dial. The top dial is part of the chronograph along with the seconds hand on the main dial. The bottom small dial is to cover the alarm features for the watch. The modes are controlled by the crown and two buttons on the right side of the watch. The buttons are screw-down for water resistance, and the watch is 20 bar resistant overall.

The original sale price for this model was around ¥63,000 and it comes from 2003.
