Pokemon - learn the time kids watch

Along with my watch collecting, I also find myself occasionally getting hooked on certain games. Pokemon is one of these games, as I think that the "gotta catch em all" mentality calls to the same part of my brain that collects the watches. Where the collections overlap, there are the Pokemon watches!
This watch is from the Pokemon Black and White time, and has pictures of various Pokemon around the strap. The watch head is large, and is a pseudo-ana-digi watch. The colour scheme is that of a pokeball, and there is a picture of Pikachu on the dial.
The LCD module is basic, with only time, date, and seconds options, and the second button is for time setting.
The analogue display is not powered, but is rotated by a wheel on the top right. I guess this is to help kids tell the time, as you can turn the dial until it reads the same time as the LCD, so they can understand how the watch works.

Seiko Alba Neatnik - Aluminum H.A.O.C - V33J

Today's watch is yet another line of watches from Alba. This line is called the Neatnik and was released by Alba starting in the late 90s (this one was made in 1999). The word Neatnik is defined as "someone who is habitually neat and tidy".

The watch is very lightweight, and is made from Aluminium (or Aluminum depending on which country you are from) and plastic. This leaves the weight down, but makes the watch prone to scratches.
This, like most of the Neatniks, has very small dials, and this particular watch has 4. The central silver dial shows time, and the bottom dial shows just hours, but with 24 hours for one rotation. The side dials are for the date (left = days, right = date).

The Neatnik range also often have this aluminium link strap with a plug and socket clasp. This straps part number is F1B7AZ.I

The watch label is Alba Neatnik Aluminum H.A.O.C, and has a model number of V33J-5A20. The watch takes the SB-AJ/SR961SW battery. I do not know what H.A.O.C means - anyone out there who knows?
The back of the watch is also imprinted with the word oshidori which is either a type of mandarin duck, or a name.

This particular model appears to have been released either at the end of 99, or the start of the 00s, as it does not appear in the 1999 vol. 1 Alba catalogue.

Black Dice Industries - Guru white

Today I'm wearing another watch by Black Dice Industries.

This watch is called the Guru, and uses a white dot-matrix of LEDs for telling the time. The display is curved and hidden behind a thin layer of paper, which the LED's shine through.

The strap is molded onto the watch head and is also curved resulting in the watch forming a circle around your wrist.

When the button is pressed, the time lights up, followed by the scrolling words "black dice".

The full model number is GURU BD 044 04 and the watch has a retail price of $90

Star Wars Millennium Falcon by Fantasma

To celebrate the release of the Star Wars R2-D2 XBox 360, I thought I should wear a Star Wars watch.

This watch is a Limited edition watch created by Fantasma in partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd. The Millennium Falcon watch was only released in a quantity of 10,000, and was one of several designs released in 1993. Each watch is numbered in the series.

The watch display is hidden under the lid of the falcon and depicts a scene of the Falcon being chased by Tie-Fighters away from the Death Star. The seconds hand is a see-through disc with a target and a small planet circling round (luckily the planet is safe, as it is on the opposite side of the disc to the target).

Casio Club-G GXS-690

Today's Casio is part of their Club-G range, which is sort-of a G-Shock for kids.
The watch has the same shock resistance, and 100m waterproof status as the G-Shock range, but this is never published as a full G-Shock.
The watch has a standard LCD display, but with 3 circular LCD displays above. The left of these counts seconds, the middle shows mode, and the larger right one has a dot-matrix display which shows an animation of a surfer or a large Group symbol.
The watch has time, timer, chronograph, and alarm functions, and an el-backlight (activated by pressing the big G button on the front)
The watch model is GXS-690, and has a 2625 module.

Citizen Independent - 1036 movement, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Today's watch is a special edition for a film release.
The watch is one of the Citizen Independent range (the new range, not the 1481010s).
It was released to commemorate the Japanese release of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie in 2011.
The watch is a basic 3 hand dial movement (1036), but has an angled crystal causing the faces to shine differently when moved.
The full model number is 1036-003247-03

Casio DF-10 Steam Engine / Locomotive C571

Today's watch is a novelty watch by Casio.
The watch is set up so that the watch face looks like the front of the locomotive, with the watch display hidden inside the front of the boiler section of the train.
Inside, the is a basic LCD display, along with a small pattern representing the boiler tubes above the LCD.
The locomotive that the watch is modelled on is the C571, which is the only steam engine running on 69.2km of the Yamaguchi Line which joins the Yamaguchi Prefecture in the far west of Japans main island (Honshu), and the Shimane Prefecture to the East. The locomotive is a C57 class 4-6-2 (2-C-1) Pacific type built by Kawasaki in 1937. Originally the loco hauled express trains on the old Tokaido line for Japanese National Railways, and was one of the most popular passenger locomotives. It was moved to a museum in 1975, before being brought up to take weekend services on the Yamaguchi line.
The watch model is the DF-10, running with a 192 module, and was released in 1983. The catalogue model may have been LBS-13, and countdown have been 35,000yen on release. The strap is a resin strap with a train track pattern, and has a part number of 159.
The watch has no easy to use mode buttons, but with a sharp point, two buttons on the right side are used for display mode (time, date, seconds), and time setting.
