Deadman Quartz Rotating Disc GV5766

Today's watch is back to a design that is pretty common in my collection - the rotating disc.

This one is by the illusive watch maker Deadman. I still don't know much about the brand, but they had quite a few interesting designs in the late 90s. They seem inspired by the 60s to 80s designs for the watches, and were often seen in Japanese magazines.

This watch is model GV5766 and is a rotating disc design, and the Deadman name (in their 80s computer font)  on the front. It has a quartz module and is a 3 disc display.

The unusual design feature here is the strap connection. The strap is mounted just above and below the narrow strip in the case with the time display. This means the strap hides a significant amount of the case making it look narrow than in reality. The leather strap parts are also different colours.

  1. Fantastic website! I just had the opportunity to purchase the same model watch (but in black) but the band is in terrible shape. Do you know where I can find a replacement band, or what size I should be looking for?
