Vogue Montres 940

Today's watch is another brand which appears quite a lot in shops, but it is hard to find out about the brand itself.

The watch is by a brand called Vogue Montres. After a bit of digging, it seems that the trademark was in the US in September 1993 and abandoned in 1996. The brand may have been started and finished before/after that time, but these dates were when it was used in the US. The trademark was issued to an Austrian company from St. Veit an der Glan called
Riedl Uhrengrosshandels-Gesellschaft m.b.H. Not much is found about the company itself apart from ownerships of brand trademarks such as this and Jacques Lemans (which I've blogged before).

The watch itself is a 3 hand dial design with 3 smaller dials. The smaller dials cover the day and date on the left and right. The bottom dial is a 24 hour dial. It has a metal case with a rotating bezel that has minute markers. It is 10 atm water resistant which fits with a European based brand, but inside is a Miyota module. On the back is also a number 940.5336 which is probably the model number.
