I'd originally thought that today's watch was another of the unknown brand watches I've kept finding, but it turns out that the watch is a Japanese line for a major British brand.
The watch is by R. Newbold, and has their name along with a logo of a heraldic style lion (i think it is a' rampant lion' and is facing right). Upon searching, the brand is actually a Japanese only line of products from the Paul Smith designer label. The Paul Smith company was started by the English designer Sir Paul Smith, and is primarily known for its stylish menswear collections. The R Newbold line is one of 14 lines under the trendsetting label.
This model is has the number KTL6019, and is a black and blue watch with a 3 hand dial design. The case is large and clean looking with clear blue text on the black background. The hour numbers are on the dial along with minute markers, but the minute numbers are on the angled strip between the face and the glass. The design is completed by a black leather strap with matching blue thread.
The back of the watch has the model number, lion logo and material (stainless steel), but nothing else.
I think the watch is quite modern as I haven't found any reference to is that is before 2010.
